Prometheus
(from the Greek Mythology), was the Titan god of foresight and
crafty counsel. He is chiefly honored for stealing fire from the
gods and giving it to humans for their use. As the introducer of
fire and inventor of crafts, Prometheus was seen as the patron of
human civilization.
Prometheus is known to be one of the most interesting characters in Greek
Mythology. He is depicted as intelligent and cunning, with sympathy for
humanity.
Some sources claim he was worshiped in ancient Rome as well. The
story of Prometheus has inspired many authors through the ages.
To this day, the term promethean refers to events or people of great
creativity, intellect and boldness.

Forethought, Foresight (promêtheia).
The name Prometus is inspired originally from Prometheus, also
resonating with Promising, Promotion, Prompt, etc. (see Prometus
Proem).
